Ocular Reflections explores the relationship between mechanical movement and body movement, calling attention to the subtle act of focusing the eye. When looking through the piece, one is forced to focus on either the reflection of their own eye in a mirror or an image of an eye printed on the surface of the mirror. Twelve interchangeable mirrors depict eyes from various paintings throughout the centuries. One then sees reality (his or her eye reflection) in conjunction with the way artists have envisioned that reality.
